These are for the actual people that they will consider for open positions... not the gullible sheeple who fill out an on-line application at the "change.gov" website. That smoke and mirrors exercise is just to make people feel like they are a part of things. Even the insiders of the Obama camp admit that the people who get jobs in the administration will be "connected" - not just random applicants off the street.
But I Digress. The questionnaire for the actual, real, candidates is 7 pages long and asks a lot of personal questions. Most of the questions deal with potential for how you might embarrass the future President - because that's the most important thing to avoid, you know.
From the NY Times Website (emphasis added by me):
"Only the smallest details are excluded; traffic tickets carrying fines of less than $50 need not be reported, the application says. Applicants are asked whether they or anyone in their family owns a gun. They must include any e-mail that might embarrass the president-elect, along with any blog posts and links to their Facebook pages."
I've not seen the entire list of questions. So far, I've not seen it posted anywhere online. I've only read excerpts on various news sources online. Its supposed to be somewhere around 63 questions, most of which ask about potentially embarrassing or improper associations and histories of the applicant.
So why does this administration, that claims not to have an agenda against our Second Amendment Rights, feel it necessary to lump this question in with all the others? I'm assuming that the reason they are asking these questions is to weed undesireable people out of the hiring pool. If you have embarrassing things in your past, they don't want you - which makes some sense.
But does the fact that you have a family member that is a gun owner weed you out as well? If not, then why ask the question?Draw your own conclusions.
