Quote

Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.

facts and evidence may be stubborn, but in the wrong hands can still be misread. they are not absolute.

Xmichra - Very true. The mindset of the observer when interpreting and relaying facts plays a big role in the narrative that results.

Facts are facts. They care not what you do with them nor whether you ignore them. They just are.

Unfortunately too many people either ignore them or try to shoehorn them into their own agendas. The same facts can be used to support social or political ideas that are diametrically opposed to each other.
