Flea Market Find

Saturday was a gorgeous day, so Mrs. Paladin and I made the drive over to the big Flea Market in Canton, Texas. New Years Eve meant there was only about half of the usual dealers hawking their junk outside, but given the huge size of Canton Trade Days there was still plenty to look at. Low shopper turnout also meant there wasn't the large crowds of people to navigate through.

I wasn't looking for anything in particular, and antique irons were not even on my list of possibles. Of course that meant that I found three really interesting ones for sale this time around. I exercised restraint, however, and limited myself to buying only the most interesting one of the three.

.gas iron

It's not marked, so I don't know the manufacturer. I was attracted to the double wing nut set up on the tank. The fuel tank has some dents that I probably won't be able to get out, but she should clean/paint up pretty nicely assuming that I can conquer the rust that has welded everything together.

I can't wait to see it when you get done with the spit and shining of it!
