Ruger has an advocacy gadget on their site that allows you to send a well written letter to the Powers-that-Be registering your desire for no further encroachments upon the 2nd Amendment. It's very easy and it automatically sends the letter to your specific representatives at the Federal and State Level.

Just click the image above - or in my sidebar. I had already contacted my Federal Representatives but I did so again via the link on Ruger's site. It also sends the letter to all sorts of people in government who need to hear your voice - AG's and the like. These are the people who often attempt to decide our fate in matters like these. We need to make sure they know our wishes - for a multitude of reasons.
