Like most people my age - I was a different person 25 years ago. To say I was a little rough around the edges is like saying that keeping a badger as a pet is a bad idea. In those days I had no interest in settling down, no interest in Marriage, and SERIOUSLY no interest in Kids. Don't get me wrong.... I like to think I was a decent enough Guy back then. I never got into much trouble beyond the normal kid stuff. I've always had a good base for Right vs. Wrong and I was brought up to do the right thing.
I had very little use for people, though, and a pretty short fuse when it came to shenanigans. The "Slow to Anger" thing was something I always struggled with as a young man. I never, ever started a fight in my life.... However, I did indeed end many.
If you had asked 25 years ago where I thought I would end up today, I probably would have imagined living in a cave somewhere out in the bush where people couldn't ask me annoying "What If" questions :).
Thank you, Mrs. Paladin. For literally changing my life.
There's still a little bit of Caveman inside me now, just in case I need him, but mostly he behaves. The love of a Good Woman makes this more the norm now...

And even a little bit of this, when the mood strikes...
Never had one lesson :)

Oh Lord, the similarities. Hey, she's a doll and you're a fine picker. Happy Anniversary.
I love happy news and this just made me smile. Congratulations to a fine man and a finer woman. May you two enjoy many, many more!
And the Banjo? Genius takes many forms my friend. I don't think it's exaggeration to say you fit that bill quite handily.
Our love to Gunny and the Missus.
Congratulations!
I've been married 39 years and have never regretted a second of it.
Congratulations, Paladin!
Congratulations to you both! and oh my goodness, what a little sweetie. I don't care how tough and hard a man think's he is, he'll turn into a babbling doofus in the face of such daunting cuteness.
Congrats Paladin.
Thanks everybody :)
Very nice, indeed. Amazing how great people always seem to find each other, isn't it?
Congratulations!
